Molaina Drodge admires one of the 250,000 poinsettias, a record-high number for Pinetops Nurseries in Lymington, Hampshire. This year (2023), the nursery has seen an increased demand for the festive plants growing an additional 65,000 Poinsettias beating their previous record. Supplying them to garden centres, Homebase, Waitrose and M&S stores ahead of the festive period. The process of growing the plants can take up to 18 weeks for the larger varieties and the Poinsettias, typically found in Central America, have become a Christmas tradition throughout the UK.
